Project Overview

As users step into the 360-degree visualization system, they are greeted by a lively display of traditional Chinese kites that respond to their movements. Controlled by handheld trackers, each kite mirrors the user’s motions: tilting the tracker alters the kite’s rotation and flight path, while moving closer or further from the screen changes its depth, bringing it closer to or farther from the viewer. The kites come in four iconic styles, including Swallow, Dragonfly, Butterfly, and Dragon. They can be controlled by multiple players simultaneously, creating a vibrant, immersive experience enhanced by surround sound.

Technology and Interaction

At the core of this Cultural Heritage project is a gamified visualization system that uses advanced tracking and interactive technology to capture user locations and interpret their gestures. This setup allows multiple participants to engage with and control kites around the panoramic screen, blending competition with collaboration in a shared immersive space. Players aim to collide with one another’s kites, creating a playful, cartoon-style explosion for the defeated kite, while the victor scores points represented as Mahjong symbols. The kites regenerate quickly, supporting continuous, engaging gameplay that encourages interaction and appreciation of traditional Chinese kite artistry in an immersive, dynamic environment.

當使用者進入 360 度全景系統時,傳統中國風箏會自動生成,並隨著他們的移動而翱翔。使用者透過手持的追蹤器來控制風箏的飛行動作,傾斜追蹤器可改變風箏的旋轉和飛行方向,向螢幕靠近會讓風箏向 3D 景深飛去,遠離螢幕則將風箏帶回更靠近視野的位置。風箏有四種傳統樣式,分別是燕子、蜻蜓、蝴蝶和龍,且允許多名玩家同時操控風箏,加上環繞音效,營造出引人入勝的沉浸式體驗。

第二部分:技術與互動

此文化遺產項目中的可視化系統運用遊戲化元素,並嵌入先進的追蹤和互動技術,能精準捕捉使用者的位置和動作。這樣的設計讓多位參與者能在全景螢幕上操作風箏,實現競爭與協作,打造出共融的沉浸式空間。玩家目標是讓自己的風箏與他人的風箏碰撞,擊敗對方的風箏會產生漫畫風格的爆炸效果,而獲勝者會以麻將符號顯示得分。風箏會迅速重生,讓玩家不斷參與互動與競賽,透過沉浸式的遊戲體驗,增進對中國傳統風箏設計的認識和欣賞。
