Atlas of Maritime Buddhism

2018 I on-going

This project investigates the compelling story of the spread of Buddhism through the seaports of Eurasia. Encompassing hundreds of sites and artefacts across India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia and China, the Atlas of Maritime Buddhism is the world’s largest archive of high-resolution panoramic 3D images, spherical videos and photogrammetric objects. The Atlas provides the digital framework for a profoundly new museological experience through which participants are able to delve into deep levels of sensory memory across place and time.
